For the 3rd time, we had a networking event between our conversation class and students from Meiji University!
Well, it is a conversation class, so what better way to practice conversation with real Japanese university students! First, the university students gave their self introduction, we then made groups of 6 with both the Meiji students and ours. Before the event, our students decided on themes to talk about, and we decided on university life, romance, job hunting, free time, childhood memories, and hobbies. After 15 minutes, we switched the groups up, so our students were able to talk to a lot of different people! Fun was had by all!
For the last thirty minutes, we played a game called "when, where, who, what!?" The way it works is that everyone breaks up into 4 groups, with each group representing one of the question words. For example, the "when" group writes something like "last year", or "now", they then cover up what they wrote and pass it to the next group, after the cycle is complete we end up with a complete sentence of sorts. Certainly, some interesting stories were made!
Thanks a lot for coming everyone! We hope to see you all again soon!
