On January 16th, we took another trip to the Odaiba area of Tokyo. A place of nonstop sights, shopping, and future planning, it's a must-visit for anyone in Tokyo! From the island, you can get a beautiful view of Tokyo, and see all of the landmarks such as Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower.
Along with seeing the future of Tokyo, Odaiba also has an area which resembles a traditional Showa-era Japanese town.
Outside of the retro town exists endless shopping and dining opportunities.
Of course, the centerpiece of any Odaiba trip is visiting the full-scale Gundam!
To end the day, we decided to relax the best way possible, going to a Japanese hot springs house!
Oedo Onsen is one of the few natural hot springs that exist in Tokyo, and the house offers a lot more than just bathing, with plenty of shopping and eating options arranged in a traditional samurai-era village theme. Walking around in yukata through the streets of Oedo, it's like being in a movie! Of course, the bathing is also top-notch! Unfortunately, pictures inside the bathhouse are discouraged, but we do recommend visiting it someday!
