The end of an era...
The time: March 18th, 2016. The place: Nakano. The event: JCLI Graduation. The numbers: Over 300.
Those that came to Japan from their own countries and studied with us for such a long time have finally reached the end. A sad sight to be sure, but also one of happiness, seeing people mature into Japanese professionals.
They came up and stood in the spotlight, one both on the stage and in their lives.
They shined among their peers and teachers.
There were those that came in their own traditional clothes, making a bridge between their countries and Japan.
In the end, they came together to celebrate something amazing. Something that most people will never have the chance or experience to do, something that they will never forget for the rest of their lives, nor will we forget about them.
It may be the end of one chapter of their lives, but it's also the beginning of another. Such is life and the stories we live through. Regardless of what the future holds, we can always look back at the previous chapters and be reminded of all of the good times we've had.
